  • "The Tooth Fairy"

My Husband Paul and I have been collecting Janet's work since the 70's. As she explores different interests and influences through her art, we are the beneficiaries with pieces that bring beauty and delight into our daily lives. We can't wait to see what's next!

  • "Porcelain Repoussé Vase"

I have taken classes with Janet for many years and I still continue to learn from her. Her depth of knowledge in ceramics is amazing, which she generously shares with her students. Not only do I learn techniques and skills from Janet, but her work inspires me to approach clay in many different ways. Janet’s creations all have an artistic nature that I continue to strive for.

  • "Sgrafitto Decorated Plates"

If you fall in love at the sight of one of Janet’s exquisite ceramic creations,
you better get it now because you may never see anything like it again.Janet’s creative muse is always on the move! I have witnessed Janet Burner’s career as a potter since its inception in the 1970’s to present day, fifty some years later. I have collected many distinctive pieces of her work along the way. They range from functional pottery (mugs, plates and cookware) to one of a kind vases, bowls, figures, animals, masks and sculptures. Nothing she makes is ordinary. Janet throws, sculpts, draws, paints, glazes and fires her clay element. Her love of the work she does is evident in her joyful expressions of ceramic art and in her mastery of her craft.

  • "Jawbone"

I live a life and I live in a house that are made more exquisitely beautiful by many pieces of Janet’s pottery — displayed on walls and shelves, hidden in cupboards, and used as everyday tableware. Her work is a magical blend of Spirit and Earth, and we lucky people get to see and feel it, enjoy and use it, appreciate and treasure it, in our blessed and fortunate existence. — Chris Duffield

  • "I'm Listening"

There are many successful artists that find out what sells, and stick with that formula for a long time.
Janet Burner challenges herself, again and again and again. She thoroughly explores a new concept, then takes it farther. That leads her to new ideas and fresh territory. Nothing about her art is stale. She is never “done,” and that spirit of adventure is what makes her a delight to follow and collect. She has art-bravery. Caution is thrown to the wind, and the path is always forward.
